York Christmas Market brings together the city’s renowned festive shopping, seasonal entertainment and independent traders in its historic surroundings.
The Christmas Market is open six days a week, from 10:30am to 7pm, Wednesday to Monday, and closed on Tuesdays for a weekly rest day. While York Christmas Market is closed on Tuesdays for a rest day, the city remains open and welcoming for your festive days out.
York's Christmas Fayre brings an extra special magic to York this Christmas. York's Parliament Street offers a festive market in the lead up to Christmas. York's Festive Fayre returns with its modern festive atmosphere bringing gifts, smells and tastes, local producers and a Festive Inn. "I just wanted to congratulate you on the Christmas market in the centre of York. There was a good number of stalls offering a wide variety of attractive and unusual gifts. I visited from Leeds and was able to complete my Christmas shopping in an afternoon. The market was well laid out and inviting and the quality and variety of items on offer was impressive!
