Sat 1 August Join in with the Friends of Temple Newsam to celebrate with a traditional evening of food and quizzes. Walter Edwin's Brunch Tour Sat 8 August 10am Guided costume tour of the estate from Walter the miner. Discover the pits and mines that formed part of Temple Newsam. Tickets £7.50 adults, £5 child includes a breakfast. Frank Daniel's Farm Brunch and Tour Sat 22 August, 10am Guided costume tour of Home Farm from the Farm Manager. Tickets. £7.50 adults, £5 child, includes breakfast. ![]() Alice Through the Looking-Glass Sat 29 August 2pm A Quantum theatre performance of this wonderful tale. Tickets £13 adults, £8 child, LeedsCard discounts available. Outdoor performance. Heritage Open Days Sat 12 -Sun 13 September Celebrating National Heritage Open Days. Free admission to the House. Steps Through Time Friday 14 & Saturday 15 August 11am-12.30pm & 2pm-3.30pm Henry VIII loved music and dance. Come along to the glorious Picture Gallery and see and hear authentic Tudor instruments and social dances of the time. Great fun. No experience or partner needed. Tudor Tales Thursday 23, 30 July & 6 August Meet costumed characters from Tudor times and hear about their stories of Temple Newsam's past. Suitable for over 7s. Family Hidden Temple Newsam Tour Every Tuesday in July & August at 11am A spooky exploration of the cellars and underground passages of Temple Newsam for our younger visitors. Every Tuesday Join us in Mrs Scot's room every Tuesday and have a go at making your own landscape picture to keep. All ages and abilities welcome. Admission charges apply plus £1 for materials. A Taste of Tudor at Temple Newsam July 21-25 August A house hunt with Henry; solve the clues through the mansion and discover if the Tudors were truly terrible at Temple Newsam.
