Illuminating York Festival 2009

York gears up for its annual Illuminating York Festival. Thousands of visitors flock each year to see the city in a colourful new light. Previous festivals have included exciting new art works projected onto York Minster, St. Mary's Abbey and the Yorkshire Museum.

York is internationally recognised as a cultural hotspot with a cosmopolitan centre that combines its stunning heritage with contemporary events and festivals. So whether you are planning a visit to York or you are lucky enough to live here already, the Illuminating York Festival is a must see event for people of all ages.
